General Information

What

Take part in a fully supported, non-competitive road cycle ride along the undulating roads of Hampshire. You have 3 courses to choose from: a long, medium and a short course. All routes will explore the lesser-known country lanes and rolling roads of North Hampshire, and you'll be rewarded with plenty of cake!

Grande - 76.7 miles / 3822 feet of climbing
Venti - 56.1 miles / 2943 feet of climbing
Primo - 23.6 miles / 1470 feet of climbing.

Julia described the day as a "great way to spend a Sunday morning!" Another cyclist said: "I had a great day - signing on course was easy, course was marked out and very well and was good fun to ride."

This event is not a race, so you're all winners for taking part! Because we can't fit you all on a podium, your result will be banded bronze, silver or gold instead.

Registration

Please enter online. You'll receive a confirmation email. Nothing will be posted to you before the event.
You'll need to register yourself on the day from 7am and collect your time chip and bike number.

Travel

Normandy village hall - Guildford is the nearest train station. When you get near follow the "Event" signs.

What to wear

Whatever you feel comfortable in to cycle your preferred distance.
You must wear a HELMET. No Helmet, no ride!

Course

Please note that all routes close at 15:00, and that the courses are subject to change due to un-announced road works, flooding, fallen trees, other events clashing etc!

You can look forward to riding a fully supported course with route markers along rolling hills, green meadows, quiet hamlets, some great road surfaces (and some not so great), and feed-stations. All routes are guaranteed to stretch the legs!

First Aid

Medics will be patrolling the course in their response vehicle. The number of the event director will be at registration. Be sure to save it to your phone and make sure you take your phone with you! If in the unlikely event you are involved in an accident, dial 999 if you can. There will also be basic first aid kits at the feed stations.

Timing

Electronic chip card timing.

Toilets

Toilet facilities will be available at the start, at each feed station and at the finish. If you do need to go in between feed-stations, please find a discreet spot - i.e. behind a tree, in the bushes, out of sight and away from local resident's driveways, hedges etc.

Water

Manned feed stations will be stocked with homemade cake, bananas, jelly babies, energy drinks and water.

Refreshment

At the finish line.
