General Information


We've teamed up with ULTRA magazine to bring you the Fox Ultra. A 58km circular ultra run route around Guildford.

This beautiful route will be fully marked and offer 5 aid stops along the Foxes Way. 

Other options include:
Relay - 3 person team with sections of 18km, 20km and 20km

Individual - 40km or 20km run. 9am time-trial starts.


Ultra participants register in the Wilfred Noyce Centre. Collect your timing chip and race number.

Marathon and relay leg 2 participants register in the White Lyon and Dragon Pub (Worplesdon, Guildford GU3 3RE).

Half and relay leg 3 participants register at Clandon train station (West Clandon, Guildford GU4 7UB). 


The Ultra event start/finish is close to Godalming train station which has a reliable and a frequent service from London or cycle to the start and get a free bike saddle cover.

Marathon, half marathon and relay participants are requested to avoid leaving cars at their start locations and to share lifts wherever possible.

What to wear

Sturdy worn-in trail shoes, backpack with extra layers, waterproof, charged mobile phone, head-torch as we'll be starting early.


A fully marked circular course from Godalming, clockwise through the villages of Shackleford, Normandy, Worplesdon, Ripley, Shere and Wonersh.
Terrain: 20% road / 80% trail
12 hour cut off.
5 aid stations on route. There will be additional cut offs along the route at each feedstation allowing 2 hours to cover 10km. More details regarding the feedstations HERE.

First Aid

Medics on the course and present at the start/finish.


Chip timing from EMIT


Toilets will be available at the start/finish and along the course at feed stations.


Available at feed stations on course. Water, flat coke, a lot of food types including salty snacks, water melon, vegetables and dips, peanut butter dip and much more.

Head torch, mobile phone, running shoes

Other Information

Key kit - sturdy trainers, appropriate running gear - dress for the weather, suitable water bottle. You must carry at least 500ml of water, charged mobile phone, a head torch, emergency numbers for the Fox Ultra event team, any additional nutrition you may require, a waterproof and first aid kit.
