If there are 4 of you, one of you does 6k the other 3 each do 5k. At the end of your lap, you pass the time chip onto your team mate.
Get a team together and challenge your friends, challenge your rival clubs or challenge your rival businesses! More importantly, raise funds for GUTS!
Now in it’s 9th year this family friendly, traffic free cross-country running event raises money for GUTS Fighting Bowel Cancer and always sells out. In 2016 over £16,000 was raised, of which £8,000 was by Ed Nicholas and his family who were running in loving memory of Ed’s wife Jane. More about Ed’s story can be found below.
As your entry fee covers the cost of the event, we ask you to please raise as much as you can for this very worth while cause so that GUTS can continue their hard work. Click on Support to donate or you can add a sum when you enter the event.

We get reminded of how important it is to continue to work to improve bowel cancer survival in all sorts of ways, but none more poignant than a group of around 70 friends and family members who got together to take part in the Bolt round the Holt 2016.
‘Team Jane’ were running in memory of Jane Nicholas, who sadly passed away in May 2015 after a short battle with bowel cancer. We thought it would be a lovely idea to get a group of Jane's family and friends together to run “The Bolt” in memory of Jane and raise money for GUTS which does so much work raising the awareness of bowel cancer and screening in the local area. Jane was a keen sportswomen, participating in many events across many sports and so this was a really fitting tribute. Jane would have been so proud of everyone who participated and the amazing total raised. “
